  A single unit bed and breakfast, providing privacy and comfort for two people. Your hosts are Jacqueline and Gabriel Bittar, a Swiss-French couple. Our guests will enjoy a warm reception and attention to detail. Private access. Private pergola and garden. Very quiet. Magnificent panoramic views of Backstairs Passage and the Fleurieu Peninsula, Eastern Cove and Dudley Peninsula, Pelican Lagoon, Prospect Hill and the Southern Ocean. Eight minutes walking distance to the beach. Situated in 11 hectares of private and diversified natural bushland, with majestic Sugar gum trees and centuries old Yaccas, providing habitat for a range of rare and/or endemic wildlife, including Tammar wallabies, echidnas, brush tailed possums and the endangered glossy black cockatoos. We accept pet animals under the following conditions: C5 vaccination certificate required for dogs and feline enteritis, respiratory disease and leukaemia vaccination certificates required for cats - please enquire. Please also note that most of the domain is kept in a natural state (implying rough terrain in some places, potentially dangerous animals such as snakes or spiders, for example) so visitors wander there at their own risk. The whole domain provides a smoke free environment. However, smoking is permitted on the verandah of the lodge. A bientot Seayu Lodge is situated within Buddhayatana, a Buddhist meditation compound. Accordingly, guests are requested to respect this by a proper and polite attitude, thus helping to maintain the quiet, tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. They may, like anyone, freely access the meditation room and freely attend the Dhamma teachings. Our facilities having been designed as an adult retreat for discerning travellers, for families we are happy to recommend some accommodations nearby. Dhamma inspired (vegetarian) mother nature cooked breakfast, as well as picnic meals (thermos flask and esky-portable icebox available) and dinner, may be arranged on request. Car hiring arrangements can be made for guests, and arrangements may also be made for guided tours through the island.
