You will be speaking English even when not in class, so you will progress faster in your learning. Head teacher is David Chandlee, Cambridge trained (CELTA). Other teachers have similar qualifications. You will have 25 hours of teacher contact per week in a class no larger than 6. Students must be 18 years old or older. Coursebooks are newly published, and students can have computer aided learning in their spare time, including text-related video and self-testing. The large school library includes graded novels and stories for relaxation. Two afternoons a week students have special lessons about rainforest, wildlife, the environment and Queenslanders and their lives. It's not high pressure, but a lot of fun. Most students stay at the school in a share room, and receive three good meals a day.On weekends you can swim in the natural pools, visit the 18 m waterfall, walk through the rainforest on 3 km of tracks, watch wildlife including 121 different kinds of birds, visit Mission Beach, one of the most beautiful in North Queensland, take a snorkelling or diving trip to the Great Barrier Reef, skydive over the beach, go rafting down the Tully River or kayak to Dunk Island for the day.
