Write a reviewBilbys began in 1987 in Canberra, Australia, when a group of individuals formed an informal training group to pursue their goals in the sport of triathlon Bilbys also holds a Christmas Party in conjunction with our World Championship aquathlon, an annual awards night, and pizza nights Travelling Bilbys have been invited to train with with Bayside Tri Club in Melbourne and ALV Mainz Triathlon club in Germany (more information is on the Membership page) Some of our members are the best in their field in the ACT, and across the country boasting at least one world champion and many placegetters at national and international level including an Ironman Japan winner The club takes its name from the bilby, an Australian marsupial according to our founding members)
