This seminar will take participants through the clinical process of gathering and assessing presenting symptomatology, grouping them into appropriate categories and formulating a diagnosis. Case formulation in the context of the two prevailing taxonomies, the DSM-IV and ICD-10, will be explored extensively with a focus on differential diagnosis and on understanding the complexities of clinical presentations.
