Dave is a professional calligraphy artist and a master in his field! He's a quiet, humble person who is internationally acclaimed for his unique and stunning calligraphy art. He's been a Graphic Designer and Calligraphy and Lettering Artist for over 50 years, working both with corporate and private clients. He has completed many prestigious commissions for the corporate section during his career and many of these works can be viewed on his website. He opened Australia's only Calligraphy Art Gallery in NSW, Australia in 1994 where his work was exhibited exclusively for over 11 years. The Painted Word, a coffee table book of some 86 colour plates of Dave's calligraphy artworks was published in 1998 and there are still a few books available of his amazing calligraphic journey. Dave Wood Art offers you a stunning range of framed or mounted prints including archival and screen prints, which make wonderful gifts for all occasions. Dave's print collection is now available as stretch canvas prints. Our prints are perfect for wedding gifts, anniversary gifts especially first wedding anniversaries gifts and birthdays gifts. Dave Wood creates unique original works of calligraphy art using paper sculpture on a commission basis as well as illuminated works on vellum which are all displayed on our website. Dave's work has been published in many Calligraphy books over the years as well as being purchased by collectors both nationally and internationally. His Artist's Books, both one-of-a-kind and limited editions, have been placed in significant collections throughout the USA, The Netherlands, UK and Australia.
