(Free) Online Guitar Lessons

Here at The Augmented Seventh, we provide lessons to guitarists of all abilities by means of video lectures and course notes. This enables the student to learn in their own time and at their own pace. In addition, we have built-in forum software so that students can post threads, ask questions in the online community, and request topics they would like to see posted. The beginner lessons are free to registered users. This allows them to get a feel for the teachings that we provide without being required to upgrade to a subscriber account unless they choose to. In particular, intermediate to advanced players will find this attractive and at a reasonable price. Similarly, the beginner can 'graduate' to these levels in the sense that once they complete the free lessons, they will be ready to attack the other content that our site has to offer. Special topics on offer are chord/scale theory, chord construction and appearance, voice-leading, transformations and many others.
