With nearly fifteen years experience in the events and communications industry including major international events, the private sector, government and not-for-profit, Fetching Events and Communication's founder Georgie Stayches, made a conscious career decision to focus on working within the community sector. We look forward to working with you on your next event, training session or campaign. *Georgie Stayches, Managing Director* After completing a Bachelor of Media Arts in 1996, Georgie Stayches commenced her career at the Australian Open Tennis in 1997. From there, her varied career has seen her work at media organisations including Channel Nine as well as major events including the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games, 2002 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2006 Asian Games. Georgie's passion for the community sector has been realised through her work in communications, and volunteer management at not-for-profit organisations, as well as major events and community events that she has event managed. These include Open Heritage:Behind Closed Doors, Pioneer & Working Horse Festival, 2005 Human Rights Celebration and CS Square Grand Opening. Public relations has always played a large role in Georgie's career, utilising her knowledge of the media through her extensive work in media operations at events and building on her pr and communication skills. She has developed & implemented PR plans for specific events and campaigns including the National Trust's Open Heritage: Behind Closed Doors, Polio Day 2010, Racing for the Roses and Make-A-Wish® Australia's Wish Day, 25th Anniversary and Laugh for Kids on Wish Day. Georgie has been heavily involved in volunteer management and her internal communications experience, development and delivery of training programs and manuals, internal communications, volunteer recruitment and management, and consultation. In addition, Georgie has managed and consulted on fundraising initiatives ranging from grant applications to training and managing Fundraising Co-ordinators. In addition, she has chaired fundraising advisory boards, published fundraising newsletters, implemented approval systems and developed comprehensive intranets.
