After being in pain for years and spending several years and thousands of dollars without getting any long lasting relief, I finally discovered remedial massage and it performed wonders, so much so that I walked out of a permanent well-paid position as a TAFE lecturer in IT to retrain as a Remedial Masseur. It was a struggle as I wasn't eligible for Austudy and I still had two of our three sons at school. My motivation for becoming a Remedial Masseur was to provide a cost effective means of achieving ache, pain and headache relief. Not that I claim to fix anything, far from it. Most of what I do is to lengthen tight muscles. Muscles which become short and tight can restrict movement and cause pain. If you can return the knots in muscles to working tissue which can stretch and contract, then the symptoms usually dissipate. As my prices are keen and I try to resolve people's problems in as few visits as possible, I attract clients from far and wide.
