Recover from Gaslighting and Emotional Abuse
If you have ever experienced Emotional Abuse or Gaslighting from a Narcissist, you're not alone.
Gaslighting is more commonly portrayed as being done to a female, however men can be just as affected.
Gaslighting is a form of psychological and emotional abuse that causes the victim to question their reality, judgement, self perception and even sanity.
This may include the Gaslighter:
- Hiding or deleting messages from another person and telling you it didn't happen
- Lying compulsively
- Being unfaithful
- Intimidating you
- Making you feel guilty
- Making you feel that you overreacting
and much more...
This behaviour can also be coupled with the documented subtypes of a Narcissist. The two main categories they can fit into are:
1. The Grandiose Overt Narcissist
2. The Vulnerable Covert Narcissist
The way to tell them apart is that the Overt Narcissist can be a bit of an exhibitionist, and the Covert Narcissist exhibits behaviour in a more subtle way. Within each, are several subtypes.
Many narcissistic abuse survivors tell me how much counselling has changed their life, because it has helped them in ways that talking to friends and family have not.
Through my process of Gaslighting Recovery I Help you:
- Be heard and validated
- Learn how to build strong boundaries
- Understand your abuser
- Learn how to recognize patterns
- Develop a stronger sense of self
- Learn how to practice self care
- Enhance your self esteem
- Build resilience
and many more tools to help you cope on your journey ahead.
The change starts with you taking the first step.
If you feel like 4 or more of the below resonate with you - message me and let's have a chat.
1. Disagreeing with someone feels like I am starting drama
2. I feel I should do more to control my emotions
3. I worry I will hurt someone's feelings by saying no
4. They make me question whether something actually happened or if I'm going crazy
5. I repeatedly doubt myself & have no confidence left
6. I am made to feel responsible for their actions
