Diatech provides quality energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analyses with a rapid turn-around. Grains are described and mounted at Diatech before being analysed at the Centre for Microscopy and Microanalysis, University of Western Australia. Standard electron microprobe data includes an oxide analysis of the major and minor elements with relevant end member calculation. From this data standard plots can be generated to assist in diamond exploration sample assessment. Wavelength dispersal spectrometry (WDS) microanalysis for trace elements is also available.
