PURPOSE: This course will provide the skills and knowledge required to comply with workplace health and safety legislation, how to identify, assess and control risks in the workplace.The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is the minimum requirement for a Safety Professional in the workplace and is designed to enable you to participate in your organisation's WHS management systems. PREREQUISITES & COURSE REQUIREMENTS: There are no Pre-requisites for this course. However there is a significant amount of reading and writing involved with this course. There are a number of post course assessments that need to be completed. We have designed this course to run over a period of Five (5) weeks, with students only required to attend class One (1) day per week (Fridays). Two (2) Units will be covered each Friday, with the expectation that the student will complete the assessments for each unit prior to the next class. Students will also have access to the trainer in between each class via email and phone. CERTIFICATION: On successful completion of the course you will receive both a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and a Record of Results outlining the Units of Competency you have completed. If you do not complete the full qualification, but do complete some of the Units of Competency you will be issued a Statement of Attainment outlining those units. Qualifications are nationally recognized.
