Back Pain, Remedial Massage, Alternative Medicine
A naturopathic consultation consists of the completion of a comprehensive health care questionnaire which covers medical history, supplements you may be taking, medication prescribed by your general practitioner, the nature of your presenting complaint, eg: pain, fatigue, insomnia, lack of energy etc. A complete dietary record is taken for a typical day, including the amount of water consumed, snack foods, coffee, tea, alcohol and the use of recreational drugs. We discuss the most suitable treatment for your presenting complaint and prioritize the treatment plan to address your most distressing ailments.
After the initial consultation treatment will begin. This will involve using any of the therapies listed under the therapies pages including the recommendation of supplements, herbal medicines and homeopathic medicines, along with any physical therapies which are listed including acupuncture. Treatment at Acu-Care Naturopathics is generally focused on treatment protocols and minimum use of supplements, however, depending on your presenting complaint supplements may be recommended, in which case, we use practitioner only products which are restricted to practitioners only. This ensures the quality of product is optimal.
Your initial appointment usually takes about 90 minutes and a follow up appointment is booked for 1 week later for review. This is to ensure the treatment you are receiving is of benefit to you, and allows the practitioner to further tailor treatment to your needs if required. Most clients typically have a greatly improved health outcome after 3 to 4 appointments. If you are not sure if this is the correct approach for your health concerns, then please send us an email underlining your concerns and we will contact you to discuss them, alternatively you can make an appointment and try it for your self.
