Bowen therapy is a revolutionary Australian muscle and connective tissue treatment that is so successful it has gained world wide attention. Bowen therapy was developed in Victoria by the late Tom Bowen and consists of a series of cross fibre muscle movements in specific areas of the body. Movements are gentle and are applied through light clothing and are designed to stretch muscle fibres in such a way that encourages the body to relax, increase blood flow and release metabolic toxins. Most people notice a difference in their first treatment and feel significantly better within 3 sessions. Each treatment lasts about 30 to 40 minutes and is repeated at 5 day intervals. After the initial Bowen session many clients have found they recover more quickly from muscle injuries and their flexibility is significantly improved. Bowen therapy is gentle and a good alternative for clients who prefer a more gentle and less invasive approach to treatment. Bowen is suitable for all types of sprains and strains, back pain, neck pain and headaches. There are many practitioners of Bowen therapy and several different styles. Paul started with Bowen technique in 1998 and progressed through the various styles of this effective therapy, such as Bowen therapy, Tom Bowen training, MST, Bowen technique and Myopractic with the result of being thoroughly trained and qualified many styles of Bowen therapy.
