Be equipped with the skills and experience to work as a bricklayer or blocklayer in the building and construction industry. Learn about the safe use and maintenance of a wide range of tools and equipment. Develop skills to lay bricks and blocks in mortar to construct walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures for domestic, industrial and commercial buildings.

Course Duration
This course is delivered over 78 weeks.
Classes are rostered for 2½ days per week (20 hours per week).

Work-based Training

Recognition is available (on application) to students with prior skills, experience, knowledge or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training, in a related area. Recognition may reduce the duration of your studies.

Entry Requirements
• Completion of Australian Year 10 or equivalent.
• Minimum of IELTS test results of 5.0, with no individual band lower than 4.5, or equivalent in
  other forms of testing that satisfy the college’s requirement.^
