people and standing within sight of Mt. Everst. We organize treks to
this fascinating land as per your time frame. Minimum 5 days you must
have to view glorious Everest and Khmmbu region Himalayas. There are
several comfortable lodges throughout the trail. All regular trips like
Everest Base Camp, Instant Everest, Everest Gokyo and Classic Everest
base camp uses simple lodges or tea houses instead of camping. Tea
houses in this region have agreed to comply with environmental
guidelines - using kerosene and gas rather than firewood for cooking and
to conform to an agreed standard of comfort and hygiene. We advise all
participants not to expect western standard of comfort, lodges have
basic but good enough sleeping bed. Using these simple lodgings allows
us to offer what for many, is a lifetime dream at an affordable price.
For those who wish to have attached bath and toilet facilities, should
let us know for special arragement at extra cost. Almost all the
lodges/tea houses do have electricity (and there are places where you
can re-charge digital cameras and batteries). At higher altitides the
communal areas are lit with paraffin lamps.
Everest Base Camp Trekking
The home of Sherpa community of Nepal is known as Solu-Khumbu. All
famous mountaineer right from Sherpa Tenging Norgey to all record holder
summiters Like late Babu Chiri Sherpa came from Khumbu region. Sherpa
belongs to Nyingma-pa Tiibetan Buddhist sect. They practice their own
Buddhist tradition and custom, which their ancestors brought from Tibet.
The area above Jorsale, about 113 sq. km is under the protection of
National Park. There are blue pine, fir and juniper forest in the lower
elevation and, birch and rhododendron forest in between 3300m to 4000m.
Musk deer, Himalayan Thar and serow are commonly found. There is
panoramic view of the Himalayan range all the way from Gaurishanker to
Mt. Makalu. The view of Amadablam is photogenic.
