One of the most physically stressful events that we all go through in this life is being born. The neck in particular, may be injured during the pushing stage of labour, and with the use of intervention such as forceps or vacuum extraction. This can lead to your child’s first vertebral subluxation. Having your baby checked by a Chiropractor as soon after birth as possible is a wise decision to allow for optimum development and growth. Most children are prone to falls and accidents during their growing years. All these injuries can take a toll on their spine. Your role as a parent, is to realize that the longer vertebral subluxation is present, the greater the potential for ongoing problems later in life. For that reason all children need periodic chiropractic spinal checkups.
