It gives you peace of mind knowing that your future major investment is not in the process of being consumed by timber pests and also does not have any past structural termite damage which may lead to future failure.
Identification of damaging timber pests such as termites, borers and decay, sooner rather than later, is critical. The damage that these pests can inflict in a short period of time is great. Once identified, appropriate urgent action can be taken as agreed by the Vendor and/or the Purchaser of the property.
Our inspector will identify whether there are any pest management systems already in place on the property and how to ensure that existing warranties remain valid.
The inspection will detect conditions that may encourage future attack and the written report will contain information to help limit exposure. Prevention is always less costly! We advise that any recommendations detailed in the report be followed without delay.
Moisture and some timber pests are best friends. Inspections should always seek out moisture that should not be there. It could be something as simple as a broken downpipe, or maybe a little more complex such as insufficient airflow or even a faulty plumbing system. A Timber Pest Inspection report will contain findings and provide recommendations for any areas of concern. This type of problem doesn’t always become apparent until major damage has already been done.
