Pain, Physiotherapist, Knee Pain
Do your knees crackle and crunch as you sit down?
Do they hurt as you climb stairs, or into a long run?
Or do they simply ache after getting up from watching a movie?
These are very common symptoms of patellofemoral pain syndrome (or kneecap pain!)
The most common knee problem is "maltracking" of the knee cap along its groove.
Your physio determines what the cause is- it can be from tight muscles, weakness, or foot problems; or any combination of these!
Treatment involves reducing pain in the first session, taping to support your kneecap
and exercises for your leg to treat the cause of the problem!
The entire process is pain free and may not require time away from sport.
Catch it early before it becomes a bigger problem!
