This program is great for those who want to lose weight, tone, build cardio endurance or learn self defence. AKKA Kickboxing teaches the Freestyle form of kickboxing derived from traditional Karate and Boxing, formally known as semi contact or full contact karate, emphasising the use of punches, kicks, sweeps and defence, as opposed to Muay Thai which focuses more on knee strikes, elbows, and clinches. At AKKA Kickboxing classes are taught with traditional values of discipline, respect and hard work. We are dedicated to not only producing high quality Kickboxing students, but high quality people as well. We have a grading system starting with White belt through to Black belt, helping you set and achieve goals. The focus of our classes is not to hit hard and ‘damage’ other members of the class – everybody’s got to go to work the next day after all. Our lessons are no contact to semi-contact (sparring is optional), focusing on boosting morale, not demoralising it.
