While videotape is a very convenient medium to shoot on, it is, unfortunately, a very poor storage medium. Videotapes start to deteriorate in as little as five years. The backing tape starts to break down, and shed the oxide which actually holds the video information. Even under ideal conditions, they need to be spooled to the end and back to the beginning every 6 to 12 months.

We have the facilities for VHS, VHS-C, Beta, Video8, Hi-8 and MiniDV. Other formats can usually be supported if you still have the camera.

Transfer film to DVD

The quality of our film to DVD transfers is awesome. There is no flicker, no jittering, no hot spots, no burnt out frames. Looks like it was filmed with a video camera, while still retaining the warmth, look and feel of film and well worth the extra dollars to preserve your precious film and Treasured Memories.
