Water Solution Case Study for Quatro Design
Water Treatment, Filtration, Water Filtration
Quatro Design Australia’s leading manufacturer of GRC (glass fibre reinforced concrete) products for the landscape industry, were endeavouring to improve their product offering and manufacturing processes while attempting to be a more “Green” organisation.
After careful consideration and consultation with a number of potential companies, Quatro Design approached PR Power with the task of coming up with a viable solution.
PR Power undertook a thorough site evaluation of Quatro Design’s existing system, which incorporated a 2 bag filtration system used to remove the majority of solids from the water. The existing system also generated high pH levels of over 12 and a high percentage of undissolved materials remained after the filtration process was complete, which was not up to Quatro Design’s high standards.
The new solution offered by PR Power solved the issues by pumping the wash down water into 4 filter bags rather than 2 that sit above the first two tanks and remove solids from the water more effectively. The filtered water is then transferred into a third tank where a state of the art CO2 diffuser neutralises the alkalinity of the water.
The clean, pH neutral water can then be reused for factory wash downs and the concrete manufacturing process further adding to Quatro Design’s efforts to be a “Greener” workplace.
