could this be you someday? On behalf of Monster Music, I would like to congratulate Daniel de Borah on his performance in winning the Australian National Piano Award (ANPA). De Borah was born in Melbourne, but most of his musical résumé was developed outside of Australia. He studied music at the Liszt Academy of Music, located in Budapest, Hungary. From there, he went to the St Petersburg State Conservatoire in St Petersburg, Russia He also went to the Royal Academy of Music in London. His recital resume include the Southbank Centre and Wigmore Hall in England, and he performed in Townsville in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music. De Borah also took Third Place in the 2004 Sydney International Piano Competition, and won the award for “Best Australian Pianist” there. Despite his lofty resume, he had never competed in his home state until making the trip to Shepparton, Victoria for this year’s competition.
