This project is a collaboration of Victoria's Interiors and Martelli Builders Pty Ltd.

The house is a 1930s Art Deco. Although in quite a rundown condition when purchased, we could see the potential. With a contemporary two-storey addition, this will make for a stunning show-case home.

September 2011:
The interior of this project is now complete. The furnishings look amazing and the kitchen is state-of-the art. Custom-designed and made Marri furniture complements the contemporary extension beautifully, whilst allowing a wonderful marriage between the original Art Deco part of the home. No expense has been spared with this fit out.

Whilst the exterior still has a few months to go before it too will be finished, the overall look of this house is truly amazing.

March 2011:
This project is fast approaching completion. All building work has finished and now it is time for the fun stuff ... decorating! Custom-made timber furniture is being made for the living/dining area, as well as the master bedroom. Original floorboards are being sanded & polished and new floorboards have been installed upstairs. Window treatments have been selected and are currently being manufactured. The stunning kitchen is all but complete.

Work to the exteior of the home (alfresco, pool and landscaping) still has to be done, but the end is definitely in sight.

April 2010:
Work on the second storey is proceeding rapidly, with the roof being pitched as I type!

All the brick work has now been completed and the house is really starting to take shape, as the photos show.

August 2009:
The front 4 rooms of the house have been retained with the front facade already undergoing a major restoration. The old paint & plaster work has been stripped back and re-plastered, revealing the true detail and beauty of this house. Original tuckpointed brick work along the bottom half of the facade has also been cleaned, along with the limestone base. The end result is going to be amazing!

With the demolition of the rear of the home complete, the new concrete slab was poured on 24th July 2009. The foundations for the new extension are now in place with the outline of what's to come clearly visible.

The next 12 months will be an exciting time for both businesses as this project home really takes shape.

Stay tuned!!!
