David Ledger is a recent graduate of the Curtin University of Technology. His pratice centres around the need to make concrete and exploration of a place which exists in his imagination. A lush jungle, dense & overwhelming. This place is the amalgam of longed for experience. His paintings are a collation of imagery collected from travel magazines, nature documentaries and war films. David's colorful and techinically accomplished paintings are like a stage or virtual space anticipating action, waiting to be animated within the viewers mind.
