Located conveniently between Busselton and Capel on the mineral rich soils of Western Australia’s beautiful South West, ten minutes from the beach and four state forests. Cityview has all the licenced staff and facilities required to prepare and accommodate your horse’s future on the racetrack. Horses can be transported to and from Perth and surrounds safely and conveniently with known horse transporters visiting Cityview at least twice weekly. Cityview offers a range of agistment options, ranging from individual paddocks including two hard feeds daily to shared paddock agistment and DIY agistment for those located close to the area. Cityview offer a wonderful range of pastures and soils for all weather types and provide horses with green, high protein pasture all year round. Individual paddocks are reticulated, as are some of the shared paddocks and all fencing is completely horse safe and comprised of PVC , white plastic and euro braid. By having 200 acres at their disposal Cityview has specific winter and summer paddocks to ensure that horses are never in damp paddocks in winter months, but yet have an ample supply of green feed over summer. Cityview can accommodate horses recovering from injury as well as offer a complete rehabilitation program to get them back to ridden work ready for racing. In regard to race training and preparation, Cityview offer breaking in, pre-training (which extends up to a horses first trial at no extra charges) and full race training. There are two tracks at Cityview, one being a 900m sand track and the other being a 1200m grass track. Horses are taken to the beach on a regular basis and also trained at the Bunbury track for fast work days. There are 4 state forests within five minutes of the premises so training on a range of bush tracks is also utilized to its full potential, obviously depending on each horse’s individual requirements. Horses are given every opportunity to develop their racing / training skills in a stress free, calm and quiet environment. Stables, along with individual paddocks are offered for horses to work out of as horses are not all the same some respond better to working out of a paddock, while others are quite comfortable in a stable environment with regular paddock rotations. Horses are worked in pairs as required and Cityview employ two licenced fast work track riders who work as a team to ensure all horses are catered for, riding them on the property daily, at the beach and at the track, providing consistency and continuity in each horse’s work. All management and staff at Cityview hold current licences with Racing and Wagering WA, ensuring that all work is kept to a standard and only licenced individuals handle all horses on the property. Cityview’s management Mark and Claire Wright take great pride in being a friendly and approachable team at all times and clients are always welcome to visit their horses and discuss any requirements they may have as well as catch up for a drink and a chat. Photos can be emailed as requested and updates on horses in training and on agistment can be given on a regular basis. The Cityview team have a vast knowledge of the racing industry encompassing all aspects of breeding, training and horse care and have dealt with a range of horses over their long history of equine pursuits. Please feel free to contact them to discuss your requirements further or make a time to view the property and see what the Cityview team can offer. They are always happy to stop for a chat.
