Tour Operators, Scenic Flights, Scenic Tours
Taking off from Broome you will get the opportunity to witness the hustle and bustle of China Town and Cable Beach from the air. Your pilot will fly you across the Dampier Peninsula, towards the mighty King Sound, whilst delivering some of the many fascinating facts and stories on the history and heritage of the area. Descending over the King Sound gives you a clear view of the impressive Fitzroy River - an awesome sight in flood during the wet season, when it becomes one of the biggest rivers in the world. As the aircraft descends, hundreds of islands begin to appear amidst the turquoise water, photo opportunities abound here! Not the least of these photo opportunities is the Horizontal Falls, a phenomenon caused by the massive tidal movements in the area. Weaving our way through the remarkable Buccaneer Archipelago, including the mining sites of Cockatoo and Koolan, the pilot sets course for Cape Leveque. It is at the Cape Leveque restaurant which opens up overlooking the Indian Ocean and pindan-red cliffs that lunch is served. Here, you are free to swim, explore or just admire this tranquil paradise for three hours. Homeward-bound, we traverse some more intriguing spots including, Beagle Bay and Lombadina Aboriginal Communities and Willie Creek before heading to Broome.
