Do the thousand islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago amidst the turquoise waters, the Horizontal Falls and the spectacular Cape Leveque sound good to you?
This tour is available as a ½ Day (AM or PM) from April-November and a Full Day for the remainder. As Broome Aviation’s first tour, The Buccaneer Archipelago, took place in 1983, soon after the lighthouse settlement at Cape Leveque was handed back to the people of One Arm Point and Djarindjin. From Broome, we sweep over Chinatown, across the Dampier Peninsula, and then the mighty King Sound where you will witness the sensational view of the fabled Fitzroy River. As we descend, the hundreds of islands that make up the Buccaneer Archipelago begin to miraculously materialise in the turquoise water. Photo opportunities abound here. The Horizontal Falls is the next spectacle, a natural phenomenon caused by rapid tidal movements in the region. As we weave our way through seemingly endless islands including Cockatoo and Koolan, your pilot will set course for Cape Leveque. Here you will enjoy a bite to eat, plus a dip in the alluring water or a scour of the area if you please. Your return flight passes Beagle Bay and Lombadina Aboriginal Communities, Willie Creek and many more sights in between before returning to Broome.
