Initial Assessment and Planning
An Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) worker explores a client's current housing situation, together with options for affordable long term housing. Working with the client, the IAP worker seeks to resolve the initial housing issue, and then put in place support and links that assist the client to find and sustain long term housing.
Is secure, furnished short-term housing for people experiencing homelessness. It is not crisis accommodation and clients are reminded that there is often a waiting period before Transitional Housing becomes available.
Eligibility for Transistional Housing also depends on income, household size and other housing options that clients may have. Transitional Housing is an interim option for households as they work towards long term housing options, whether in private rental, public or community housing.
Rural Housing Network will match the needs of people with the most appropriate available housing.
