GPR offers underground imaging technology and records natural and man made features underground and can detect all material types.
Underground cable fault finding is a unique method in locating a down to earth fault along a service. Firstly the service at fault is traced and depths obtained using an underground pipe and cable locator then a fault finder is used to locate the fault.
Plastic (PVC) water pipes cannot be detected with underground pipe and cable locators. By the use of an acoustic pipe locator we can transmit a mechanical pulse along a water service and with the use of a ground microphone listening device we can detect the path of the water service which is very useful for all non metallic water services.
Ferrous metal detection is a detector that is primarily used in the pipe and cable location process such as looking for steel, cast iron and galvanised pipes.
GeoScan Utility Location Service is a Victorian based company that provides a range of services.
