Pet Pursuits offers in home private lessons to clients using proven gentle rewards based training. This is the fastest and most fun way for your puppy or dog to learn. The rewards may be food, toys or anything the dog finds motivating in that moment, whether it be at the park or at home. This style of training focuses on creating a calm and harmonious relationship through effective communication between you and your dog/s. I can provide puppy/dog training that includes: Teaching calmness for puppies/dogs who jump up, nip or other unruly behaviour. Toilet training. Good leadership based on positive interactions so your dog learns to listen to you. Heeling or walking nicely on a loose lead. Coming reliably when called, especially when distractions are present. Teaching your dog to sit, stay, lie down and stand. Learning good manners and attentiveness, to ensure your dog?s safety and maintain a positive relationship between you and your dog. Calm greetings with other dogs and people. Relax on mat , a good exercise with many benefits such as reducing attention seeking from your dog, to adopt calmness as a default behaviour and thereby helping eliminate anxiety and other unwanted behaviours. Dog/people aggression. Separation anxiety. Games (such as retrieving) and tricks that include say your prayers, play dead?, take a bow, or to bark on cue.
