The mortar joints and brickwork on this job were extremely deteriorated, in some areas to the point of `brick on brick`. There was also a high level of moisture in the lower courses(rows) of Brickwork to the main house walling. We chemically treated the moisture issue by creating a water proof membrane of the lowest possible horizontal mortar joint in those areas firstly ensuring that the cavity was clean of all sand/mortar droppings etc, re set the loose bricks, stabilised any cracks, raked/cut back all of the mortar joints, re filled them with the appropriately colored base mortar(red and black) then applied the Tuck Pointing.
