Many people don't think a brick house built on a concrete slab will ever be infested by termites. Your right in one sense - they wont' eat your slab or your bricks but that doesn't stop them from getting into your floor frame, wall frame, and roof frame. In the month of January Safehome Building Inspections Melbourne located four separate homes built on concrete slabs that had been infested with termites. At two homes Safehome inspected termites came through the slab edge, one home through a blocked or covered weep hole and the other up through a bathroom pipe penetration. Do not think termites won't touch a brick home or a home built on a concrete slab footing.
