RAI Satellite TV installation under $400 - BEWARE IT IS A SCAM

Some Satellite TV installers are advertising satellite tv installations to receive RAI under $400. The customer is not aware that the satellite installer is using a small Ku Band satellite dish to receive the broadcast from Intelsat 8 Satellite from the former Select TV pay television provider for RAI.

The signal content is normally encrypted as it is part of the Pay TV service and will be encrypted again. Some satellite TV installers are using this knowledge as a way to install satellite TV systems for such a low price knowing that the client will loose access to the RAI program. The installers know that the client will require another C-Band dish to receive the free to air RAI, or the  client must subscribe (using a compatible pay tv set top box) to continue to access the RAI from the current pay TV service provider World Media International. Their web site is worldmedia.com.au

Therefore a $400 dollar satellite installation to receive RAI could turn out to cost you $1000 or more. See our new Blog for RAI and Italian satellite TV:  rai-international.com/blog.htm

When seeking information about satellite TV installation for RAI or Italian TV , ask the installer about their knowledge of the program content, the type of satellite equipment to be used and whether the RAI service is from Intelsat 8 or the ASIASAT 5 satellite! The ASIASAT 5 (ASISAT 5 replaced ASIASAT 2 Satellite) satellite has been broadcasting RAI International as a free to air broadcast since the late 90's.
