Flash DSC Receives R&D 100 Award
Analytical Instruments, Thermal Analysis
METTLER TOLEDO has been awarded the coveted “R&D 100 Award” for the Flash Differential Scanning Calorimeter (FDSC), a revolutionary instrument that expands the boundaries of thermal analysis.
This prestigious award has now been presented to METTLER TOLEDO twice in five years for thermal analysis, and places the Flash DSC in the recognised top 100 technically significant analytical instruments introduced in 2011.
METTLER TOLEDO’s Flash DSC also received the Editor’s Choice Award for the Top 3 innovations in 2011 at the R&D Awards Banquet on 13th October in Orlando.
The R&D 100 Awards have taken place for 49 years, helping companies provide the important initial push a new product needs to compete successfully in the marketplace. Winning an R&D 100 Award provides a mark of excellence known to industry, government, and academia as proof that the product is one of the most innovative ideas of the year.
Winners of the R&D 100 Awards are selected by an independent judging panel and the editors of R&D Magazine. The publication and its online portal serve research scientists, engineers, and other technical staff members at high tech industrial companies and public and private laboratories around the world.
Winners were recognised at the R&D 100 Awards Banquet on Oct. 13, 2011, in Orlando, Fla. A list of winning innovations is on the R&D 100 Awards website, www.rdmag.com.
