A very popular service is the removal of old and heavy roof tiles, old corrugated iron sheeting or asbestos. These are then replaced with light weight Bluescope Lysaght Corrugated Zincalume® or Colorbond® steel sheeting. We call it re-roofing. Roof tiles can really stress the walls of homes with excess weight. Alot of aging homes have large flat tile verandahs or rear sleep outs. These flat tiled areas are often enclosed as rooms and can have severe water leaking issues. Corrugated steel can be laid in long lengths, at a low pitch and be completely leak proof. Within a period of a few days your old roof can be completely removed, taken off site and disposed of. Modern steel sheets of corrugated Zincalume® or Colorbond® are then fixed with tek screws which form a stunning new light weight roof which will add value to your home. The re-roofing process includes replacing the existing tile battens with new steel purlins, which help in taking out waves and dips in the existing tile roof. Gutters and downpipes are usually replaced at the same time.
