What is a Multi-bed Clinic?
A Multi-bed clinic works by treating several people in a large room together. Acupuncture is traditionally well suited to this style of treatment whilst still maintaining quality service.
All initial consultations occur in a relatively private area. After the initial consultation Shen Ting Community Acupuncture then provides partitions between each treatment table to allow for some privacy during subsequent treatments.
Acupuncture treatment usually takes between 20 and 30 minutes, which means that a practitioner can place needles in one patient, leave them to relax and enjoy their treatment, and then move on to another patient. By treating more than one patient each hour, practitioners can reduce the cost of treatment for their patients.
Patients being treated in multi-bed clinics often report many positive experiences and very few negative experiences. Patients particularly like the "community" feel these clinics create and consistently report that they like the sense of togetherness and humanity they find there.
How can patients benefit from treatment in a Multi-bed clinic?
Although acupuncture is growing in popularity here in Australia, the cost of treatment may mean that many people simply cannot afford regular treatment.
By reducing the cost of treatments, acupuncture becomes more accessible to those who may not have been able to afford it previously. It also means that patients are able to have quality acupuncture regularly enough to maximise the benefits.
Shen Ting Community Acupuncture provides the possibility of patients being able to afford treatment twice each week, which is considered optimal for many conditions.
