From time-to-time, it’s natural that you lose your motivation and are simply feeling a bit flat! Here are our rev™ Sales Coaching & Mentoring tips to help you to very QUICKLY re-energise and BOUNCE back to Achieving Sales Success! Hope they work for you - Robert Durrant.
Find yourself 10 minutes to do the following;
1. Remind yourself of the things that you do REALLY WELL! Grab your smartphone and type these things into an email to yourself, and send it. It will help reinforce ‘your value’.
2. Call that work colleague or acquaintance who you always find inspiring to converse. Ask them what their last achievement or goal was, get them to talk through with you the methodology they used to make it happen. You will get an instant lift.
3. Inspirational quotes, industry articles, blogs, etc are all amazing things to stop and take 10-mins to re-read. As corny as it sounds, storing these in your Dropbox folder allows you to re-visit and reflect – it makes a huge difference.
4. If you have some problems in your life, try to step away from these for a few hours and get your Zen back. Trying to manage everyone's problems can quickly destroy motivation.
5. DO NOT try and do sales business when you are flat and demotivated. If you can’t lift, then move onto doing admin tasks. Even worse, is trying to sell to people who are also feeling flat e.g. selling on Friday afternoon, forget it champ! Best you do your footy tips.
Using a good Sales Coach & Business Mentor can really to plan and achieve sales and business goals. The right Coach and/or Mentor, which are usually provided by subject matter experts who can extend basic sales training with advice, guidance, and most importantly, a plan. It’s this combination that builds self-confidence and turns short-term sales into long-term business development.
