The Shipwreck Coast Route – Immersive Tour.
Stories of the sea have an enduring fascination for all manner of people. Stories that are evocative of good times and rough ones; moments of farce, boredom or blind terror! It has to be said the most vivid first hand recollections of life at sea were recorded during the Golden Age of Sail 1850 -1920.
Side step the usual destination squalls to travel with Attention Seekers. And retrace the steps of the early gritty explorers.
On this tour of discovery we will see some of the most beautiful seascape and dramatic coastline in Australia and spend time exploring the fate of some of the 146 vessels lost along Victoria’s south west coast between 1834 -1945.
Travelling climaxes with a dramatic road trip east down the surf coast. The rugged shoreline of the surf coast road, travel through and hear about the part of the road which bears the name “Anzac Highway” built 1919-1932 these 80 kilometres showcase the grand, often terrifying power of nature and stand testimony to the marvels of early engineering and the indomitable human spirit and the will of the men who built the road.
We pride ourselves on our flexibility. On clear evenings we do a Star stop “just ask”
