Elastomers are extremely versatile and flexible engineering materials and this has been the key to their widespread application.
Polyurethane offers many benefits and can be a smart substitute for metal, rubbers and engineering plastics where its unique characteristics are an advantage.
Part and Tooling design is completed in-house by our own designer/draft person, modelling with Solidworks 3D CAD design software:
Polyurethane sheet, rod, tube and custom cast parts remain the Dotmar standard offering and are available in our wide range of standard colours (red, black, navy blue, orange, yellow and white). Standard hardness of hot castable elastomeric urethanes produced range from 60 Shore A to 75 Shore D and are available in either Polyether or Polyester based material.
Polyurethane The Polyurethane Plant within Dotmar continues to be a growth focal point for the business as a whole. 2010 had seen the installation and commissioning of the acquired dispensing equipment increasing the capacity, capability and consistency in quality equal to that of some of the largest Polyurethane manufacturers within Australia; now able to produce parts 400kg’s and above where required.
Dotmar has a modern Polyurethane facility with the ability to cast custom polyurethane parts to a near net shape and then post machine according to your requirements.
“Dotmar Polyurethane is a serious contender in the Australian market...” says Leon van den Heever (Dotmar Polyurethane Product Manager) and the positive response we received from the market during 2010, clearly indicates the markets awareness of our manufacturing capability and technical ability as a Polyurethane specialist, able to assist in both conceptual design and application development.” Dotmar supplies Polyurethane nationally making its products accessible to all markets through its numerous branches and reseller networks.
