Summary
Gold Mining from South Australia inquired for a weighing system for their lime silo. Upon further investigation, KIW's team of engineers provided Gold Mining with a cost effective, low maintenance and management batching system. 

Objective
Gold Mining were looking for a weighing system for their silo. The weight information is used to batch the lime in proportion to other materials for use in their froth flotation process.

Solution
Lime is used extensively in the recovery of gold. Ores are combined with lime and a cyanide solution in a froth flotation bath to dissolve the gold while lime maintains the pH of the cyanide keeping it in the liquid phase. If pH of the froth flotation process is not maintained above 12 the cyanide will be released as toxic gas (hydrogen cyanide).

Kontrols & Industrial Weighing system directly controls the lime flow as well as the sundry equipment, including lime silo activators, water pumps etc. The equipment used in this system includes PR1713 batch controller and PR3201 rocker pin design canister load cell in a mounting kit.
