Not only as a boxer, but as a well respected trainer, mentor and inspiration to all that enter through his doors.
Peter founded Probox almost 10 years ago and has built his reputation on simple, yet fundamental principles.....by challenging yourself physically; you can change and challenge yourself mentally. Accomplishing anything in life you strive for.
So, whether your interest in boxing is to get into shape, or maybe to learn how to box like a professional, or simply just to become part of a team-Probox is ideally suited for all. Male, females and children of all ages, sex and background are most welcome. Probox offers a non-intimidating and fun environment to get you started.

Kids classes are run at an after school timeslot and on weekends. For children, it is important for them to learn that boxing isn’t about fighting. Children are encouraged to train hard, learn patience, discipline and respect, both inside the gym and outside.
Amateur boxing is a big part of Probox, with Monday and Wednesday nights being sparring night, with various other training program’s running every other night. Potential boxers are encouraged to firstly learn the basic’s, move to a healthier eating plan and give 100% dedication to thier training. With better teaching and guidance, they will eventually see the results in the ring.
Personal training is also available; here a one-on-one training session “boxing style” will have you challenging yourself with a great feeling of satisfaction.
There is no joining fee or contracts. You pay as you come! We offer a weekly membership fee which includes unlimited access to the gym and classes, or you may pay per visit.
Probox is owned and operated by Peter "Spud" Murphy-an experienced professional boxer, who has now dedicated his time to training. Peter has been in the boxing industry for over 15 years.
Full size boxing ring, boxing coaching, Proper boxing movements will give you strength, stamina, speed, agility, better reflexes, better co-ordination and balance. You don’t need to fight to get the benefits but you do need to work. And you will lose weight, you will improve muscle tone and more importantly, you will feel great!
