Join local resident and expert beekeeper for this fascinating new workshop on beekeeping.
Beekeeping has important links to local food, self-sufficiency and sustainability. Keeping a beehive at home will boost pollination and crop yield of your fruit and vegetables! You'll be able to enjoy your own source of honey as well as harvest beeswax for candles and polishes, bee pollen and propolis.
This session will cover how to build your own beehive, look after the colony, harvest honey and beeswax. Tea, coffee and light supper provided.
