New legislation recently introduced requires PCBU’s – (Person conducting a business or undertaking) which includes business owners, Management and supervisors to ensure that they comply with the new code of practice. Failure to comply could result in substantial penalties for corporation and/or personal, either by way of financial, imprisonment, or a combination of both. WorkSafe are now conducting random workplace inspections in all segments of industry to ensure that safety systems are in place to comply with the “New Work Health & Safety Laws”. This extends from Government organisations to Construction, through to Retail.
