What is Qigong?
Qigong (also spelt Qi Gong or Chi Kung and pronounced chee-goong) is an ancient Chinese meditative discpline based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. In basic terms, it is a slow and precise form of moving meditation that involves controlled breathing, stretching and strengthening exercises.
The aim of Qigong is to stimulate and strengthen the flow of 'qi' or 'life energy' throughout the body.
Because Qigong is the practise of integrating body, mind and spirit it is known as 'internal training', and is best practised under the guidance of a highly experienced instructor or Master.
