COMFREY has been traditionally used and known for relief of bruises and sprains, reduce swelling, reduce pain associated with osteoarthritis, sciatica, boils, rheumatism, varicose veins, bed sores, healing skin wounds, insect bites, muscular pain, pulled tendons, gangrene, shingles and dermatological conditions. Comfrey’s nickname is ‘knitbone’ because of its traditional use in healing bone fractures. The comfrey plant contains allantoin, which is thought to stimulate cell growth and repair while simultaneously depressing inflammation.
USE: For topical use only. To help encourage healing, apply cream to tissue area surrounding fracture or affected area twice daily. These claims are based on traditional use. If symptoms persist, please consult a healthcare practitioner.
CAUTION: Do not use on broken skin. Do not use under occlusive dressing. Discontinue use after 10 days. Do not use with acetaminophen.
