Mason College is please to announce that Wayne Tones has now joined our team as our Business Development Manager.
Celebrating 10 years working for a global telecoms giant, he played key roles in the transition of a fragmented monopoly, including rollouts of ADSL, fibre optic and wholesale system separation. His reputation starts with top awards for champion customer service. Rising in quality circles supporting the National Broadband Rollout, he created customer care models to strengthen all web sales, complaints channels and compliance monitoring. He then pioneered compliance projects resolving hot media/fair trading issues – and was head-hunted. He became accountable to regulators and boards, advocating fixed-line reform, ensuring fairness, managing incident, intervention and risk across worldwide call centres. Simultaneously, he managed his university life (BA Business Management/ Strategic Learning & Development), which somewhat consolidates his education level, career experiences and determination.
Wayne moved his family to Adelaide and worked 15 months for SA’s largest JSA provider as part of a prized project team of contract experts and trainers; leading the organisation on contractual compliance and project management, complex audits and health checks, thereof development of enviable case-management systems, plus DEEWR, Centerlink and RTO relations. Adding tremendous value to continuous improvement, he quickly acquired fluency in multiple tenders and contracts: introducing a holistic DES service delivery model, and organisational change to electronic archiving policy bringing transparency and agility across 30 sites (and 2 states). He also concentrated on organisational development, working strategically with HR, running induction and adhock training, identifying skills gaps, managing, designing, preparing manuals and online knowledge-bases. Thanks to Workskil he completed his Certificate IV in TAA and has since created marketing assessments now used by TAFE SA.
Wayne then went on to work as the Business Development Manager for JOBWIRE Recruitment for 12 Months before agreeing to come and Join the Mason College team he has experience across a broad range of Industry Sectors and as such is excellently placed to assist businesses in assessing their training needs and providing creative and cost effective solutions to address those needs once identified
