The Strathalbyn Children’s Centre is located in the picturesque town
of Strathalbyn in the Adelaide Hills and the gateway to the Fleurieu
Peninsula. We are a 60 place community based centre (not for profit),
catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The Centre has two
children’s rooms. Our Gumnut Room caters for up to 15 children from 6
weeks to the age of 2 years, and our Possum Room caters for up to 45
children aged from 2 to 6 years.
Our centre has a high quality team of staff members, dedicated to
providing high quality care to young children. We run an innovative and
stimulating educational program, based on the Early Years Learning
Framework. The program is designed to cater for children as individuals,
to encourage and support their development in all areas, as well as
providing opportunity for children to challenge themselves and acquire
new skills and knowledge within a social environment.
We are awarded as a ‘Start Right, Eat Right’ Centre,
providing a wide variety of nutritionally balanced meals for the
children in our care. The meals are interesting, attractive and tasty,
and children frequently ask for seconds.
The Strathalbyn Children’s Centre been accredited by the National
