Cultural Flavours is the inspiration of Kerri who has a passion for food, language and culture. The mobile food truck has a focus on Asian food but Cultural Flavours sometimes introduce foods from other cultures. For example, at Cultural Flavour's first event in December 2015, the great Australian Schnitzel roll was brought to the community, along side some Asian classics. Some populars that will be coming from Cultural Flavours include dumplings (gyoza) and fried rice. Many Australians love their curries and Cultural Flavours will also be introducing, perhaps a less known curry to the community, the Japanese curry. It has a surprisingly original and addictive taste! Please come and try it!
In 2016, Cultural Flavours will also be introducing its tuition and professional training courses. Initially, we will cover English as a Second Language, Japanese and Chinese. Please inquire about the structure of these courses. Language courses are for beginners and intermediate levels and for both fun and business.
Food and Language are integral parts of culture and thus Cultural Flavours is all about culture. Cultural Flavours has a vision for expansion in the future to integrate food and language in the form of cooking classes and cultural activities such as traditional crafts like ikebana (Japanese flower arrangements).
