Axle Weighbridge Flooded During Recent Brisbane Storms.
An axle weighbridge in a Brisbane transport depot required substantial repairs after suffering water damage during Brisbane’s recent storms. This axle weighbridge had not been serviced on a regular basis and the pit had accumulated a large amount of dirt and rubbish over many years that had clogged the weighbridge drain.
Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch responded to the client’s breakdown call to repair the aging Ultrahawke axle weighbridge that still performs a vital role in ensuring loaded trucks exiting the transport depot conform to legal load limits. As the weighbridge pit was still holding water, the axle weighbridge was lifted clear of the pit to enable the blocked drain to be cleared.
One of the aging load cells was replaced due to water ingress as were the load cell cups which were heavily rusted. The pit and underside of the weighbridge deck was thoroughly cleaned and all wearing components heavily greased before the axle weighbridge was re-installed.
A full weights test and calibration of the axle weighbridge by Accuweigh’s test truck ensures correct weighings can once again be attained on this vital piece of weighing equipment. Accuweigh has eight branches across Australia providing after sales service support on axle weighbridges and all types of industrial scales and weighing equipment.
