On all tours you will have a KnH Wine Tour Consultant liaise with you during the booking process. Here, the planning and construction of your experience will take place.
On the day of the tour your group will be picked up from a location of your choice, be it Adelaide City or Hills, Glenelg or Northern Suburbs and enjoy the smooth, scenic and deceptively short drive into the Adelaide Hills.
When you arrive at the winerys, your hosts will lead you inside and introduce you to the people responsible for walking you through your first tasting. In most cases, this will be the wine maker, vigneron or owner – the people responsible for the birth of the wines you are sampling.
Every wine has a distinct personality (much like the vignerons!) and if you know what you are looking for, no two are the same. In your tastings with KnH Wine Tours, your hosts at each cellar door will talk you through each wine, its production, and the flavours and aromas associated with them. This is known as a ‘tutored’ tasting. You will then have time to take in the location over a glass or two, purchase any wine if you wish, and ask any questions you have before moving on to your next destination.
Our KnH Wine Tours Consultants can organise and book you into a variety of establishments for lunch. Don’t feel like a big meal? That’s fine, our Tour Consultants can organise light meals and platters to share. We can also organise for a platter at one of your cellar doors throughout the day if you’re feeling extra peckish!
